Will getting a tattoo help me understand them more?

If you think tattoos are weird, and it bothers you, that's a personal choice. If you choose to get a tattoo even when you know you feel this way, you're just looking at a lot of regret and however much money you spent to get the tattoo. You don't need to understand the appeal. You dislike what you dislike. You shouldn't feel bad for feeling that way. And there are more girls out there without tattoos than there are with, so getting a tattoo shouldn't be what influences who you date (and subsequently have a long term committed relationship with).
