In Blake Shelton's song "Austin", why does he call the girl Austin?

Can be taken in two different ways. Either her name IS Austin(yes there are females with the name) or it's just a reference. The idea was to not really say which way it was meant, although at the end she says this is Austin(still could just be a nickname).
