Could everything be connected?

I came to a conclusion that all things are connected by strings. If you take a piece of matter and had an incredibly powerfull microscope, do you think that you would see strings attaching it to everything else? It would be like a large spider web connecting the universe together. There would be on these strings that would move around randomly that create the actions of everything else. I think that this is what makes everything happen but what are your opinions?
