Can you wash cotton and polyester together - and if so, what heat should they be washed in?

They can be washed together, wash warm, tumble dry medium. Your cotton is seriously tough stuff. The poly is also tough, but heat over time will degrade and make it fade and feel yucky where cotton will just get softer.
