The flu help? ( please )?

i was out in the cold on friday, and proceded to get a sore throat on saturday by monday i was horribly congested and sickly no energy and achy, tuesday i had the same ssymptomsbut my nose was hhorribleand worse and i got a cough, wednesday the same, and also a cough but worse, today is thursday, and i have a less blocked up nose, but my cough is uunbearable i cant bBreathein deep with out coughing, any help to sooth this? mum goes in to hosbitle today for he wisdom teeth, and i have to waite in the waiting room, and i ddon'twant to cough aallot so anything to help me stop, ( by the way, ive been the to doc, no swine flu just regular flu, she gave me medicne but it only relives the other sypmdoms not the cough )
